almost.
actually i take my name from kazuyuki asakawa. in the books that were later made into films (and even later remade in the US) the main character wasn't a woman called reiko but a man called kazuyuki.
yoichi is the son in the film and koichi is a grandparent that isn't overly important to the story. the guy looking down the well is actually dr. heihachiro ikuma
i cannot recommend the books and JP films enough
